New news might not be that far off?

Jeremiah Slaczka, the Creative Director and Co-Founder of 5TH Cell, is a pretty big deal. He's the main idea machine of 5th Cell, coming up with the concepts for Drawn to Life, Lock's Quest, and yes, even Scribblenauts. You don't need me to tell you that all of their games have been great successes, selling over a million copies each. Well, except Scribblenauts, but a game that hasn't even been released yet can't really be faulted for not selling.

Though some game designers might prefer to sit in their houses made of platinum on the tallest mountain overlooking the bluest sea shunning the plebeians and common folk of the world, Slaczka is a man of he people. Namely, the NeoGAF people.

He keeps in touch with the "official" Scribblenauts thread over at GAF and tends to answer questions or dispel rumors people may have. The thread has been slow as of late, to which one poster asked, "JEREMIAH ARE YOU STILL THERE?". He was, and he had this purposefully-vague-yet-still-kinda-exciting-news to tell us:

More info will be coming :) Don't worry about that.

Perhaps we shouldn't be reading too much into this. But what would a blog be without over-speculation?

Maybe nothing will come from it, but if you ask me, we're long overdue for some new info. E3 was over a month ago and that's when we last got our news and impressions. If the game really is coming out in September that gives it just over 2 months to start the hype engine. I think it'd be in everyone's best interest to start it soon!

  1. Hopefully that means the release date is coming soon. That's the only info I still need. Any other info will just be a welcome bonus.
